Tim Carter, Director of Boys Soccer and Head Coach U18 Boys, was the former Director of Youth Development and National Staff Coach for US Soccer. Creating programming for U.S. Soccer’s Project 2010 Carter was also responsible for creating the first international coach and player development exchange program between US Soccer and the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB).

With over twenty years of coaching experience including twelve  years at the NCAA Division I level at Illinois State, Duke and Evansville, as well as professional coaching experience with the Minnesota Thunder and Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Carter holds a USSF Instructor License, USSF “A” License and a Diploma from the Union of European Football Trainers (UEFT).

During the 1998 CONCACAF World Cup qualifying, Carter scouted for the men’s senior national team and also served as the interim Director of Coaching. Also, during the 1994 World Cup, he was a member of the Technical Study Committee for US Soccer and a contributing member to the FIFA Technical Study Committee for the 1996 Olympic Games.

An NSCAA Coach of the Year recipient, Coach Carter developed the soccer program at Illinois State into a top twenty program.

While at Illinois State, Coach Carter served as the national chairman  Men’s Division I Coaches Committee. Additionally, Tim has served as the Coaching Director for US Club Soccer’s id2 program.
